They often have a decorative blade that slides out from the handle and is primarily used as walking sticks; however, they are also considered deadly weapons when necessary.   Sasuke Swords (or katana) are traditional Japanese swords that have been passed down in samurai families for generations. It usually features an ornate hand guard and a heavy blade with a rounded tip. Centuries ago, the samurai used their katana as their primary weapon on the battlefield during feudal Japan’s Sengoku era.  The sword was also sometimes broken in half, so it could be more quickly rested on the shoulder strap of their armor or carried by hand like a walking stick across rough terrains like mountain ranges and plains. Later in the year, the blade would be re-fit and polished to be used again. They are also great to display pieces displayed in antique shops and as decorative items for home use.
