  What are anime swords you may ask? These swords, as the name suggests, are swords that are used in manga and anime. The appearance of these weapons is usually quite different from actual steel blades. They can be much longer with extravagant designs that make combat more exciting for the viewer. Also, because they don't need to be made from steel, they can have special abilities beyond just slicing through things. But why do these swords look so outlandish? Most likely for one of two reasons: either it is an epic representation of a legendary blade or a wizard or demon from fantasy lore created them. It usually features an ornate hand guard and a heavy blade with a rounded tip.
